Main responsibilities of education and its, administration are undertaken by each state and school district in the United States because of its decentralized administration institution. However,in the tide of curriculum reform for basic education since the 1980s and 1990s,the national curriculum standards have been made and published, which have involved all main subjects for basic education. This essay discusses the social causes of making national curriculum standards from the perspective of social transition from industrial society to post-industrial society.
