This paper puts Marguerite Duras＇s novel the Ravishing of Lol Stein and French feminist theories together as cross-reference to one another, analyzes the subversive feature of the novel, which shares the advocacy of the French feminist theorists＇ subverting patriarchal society by subverting male discourse, and by questioning who is the narrator, whether Lol is mad and who ravished whom. The paper reaches the conclusion that this vivid and concrete novel and the abstract and profound French feminist theories echo and elaborate one another so as to prove the diversity of feminism.
