本文主要阐述异化、归化的概念,揭示两种方法背后的思想、理念,分析每种方法在特定语境中所实现的各种目标。比较了两者的优势与不足,并以翻译唐代著名诗人杜甫的作品为例,表明了将两者有机结合的必要性。

This paper mainly discusses the concept of foreignization and domestication, analyzes the ideology on which the two methods are based, and goes over various purposes each serves in particular contexts. After comparing the advantages and disadvantages of either method the paper finally indicates the necessity to combine them in translating poems by Dufu in Tang Dynasty.
