Analysis of Li Shang-yin's Epic Poems

一代杰出诗人李商隐写有大量咏史诗,这些咏史诗是在中晚唐这一特殊的时代政治背景下产生的,具有比较深刻的现实性和时代感,其诗内容上或托古讽今,或借史咏怀,在艺术上措辞委婉,抒情方式也相当独特,见解精辟而情感自深,奠定了其在中国咏史诗的发展史上重要的地位,对后世也产生了一定影响。

Li Shang-yin, a famons poet, wrote a number of epic poems which were produced in the middle and late Tang Dynasty of a sppcial political background. These poems have the characteristics of reality and epoch with ironical content,emotional expression,artistic diction,and particular lyrics. The epic poems show his penetration ideas and profound feelings,thus establishing his reputation in China＇s epic poems and having some effect on the later generations.
