摘要
保险和社会保障在国民经济和社会发展中具有重要意义，2006年《政府工作报告》多次提到了保险和社会保障事业发展的问题。保险和社会保障在完善经济保障、优化经济发展、增进社会和谐等方面能够发挥重要而独特的作用。同时，国民经济和社会发展对保险和社会保障也提出了很高的现实要求。国民经济和社会发展对保险业的现实要求是：诚信发展、稳健发展、深化发展。国民经济和社会发展对社会保障事业的现实要求是：机制理顺、财务稳健、调节有效。
Insurance and social security have great significance to the national economy and social development. The Governmental Working Report of 2006 mentioned the issues of insurance and social security several times. Insurance and social security play an important and unique role in lots of aspects such as perfecting economical protection, optimizing economical development and enhancing social harmony. Meanwhile, the national economy and social development have a very high requirement on insurance and social security. The demands on the insurance industry are creditable development, stable development and deepening development. The demands on social security are streamlinging its mechanism, financial stability and effective adjustment.
