张默生是中国现代史上重要的、卓有成就的传记文学作家。他在传记文学平民化、传记人物性格刻画以及传记艺术方面有突出成就。然而由于历史原因,张默生传记文学创作至今却少人给予正确的、恰当的评价。基于此,对其传记文学作品及其特点进行分析,并对其创作进行历史评价。

Being the most important and fruitful literary biographer in modern Chinese history, Zhang Mosheng made outstanding achievements in popularizing biographies, depicting characters, and biography writing for artists. Owing to various historical causes, his biographical works attract little proper judgment. Therefore, this article is designed to analyze his works and their characteristics with historical evaluation.
