摘要
托马斯.哈代曾一度被评论家誉为“英国小说中的莎士比亚”。他擅长于以悲剧的眼光审视人生,以悲剧性感悟方式和独特的男性话语去体验和刻画两种文明的激烈撞击给人们带来的现实苦难。他用史诗般的文字描写了贫穷的农家女子苔丝短促而不幸的一生。小说除了给人以命运悲剧庄严凝重、崇高凄凉的审美体验以外,还蕴涵了作者深厚的理性主义,蕴涵了对人类历史逻辑矛盾深邃反思的社会悲剧。
Thomas Hardy was regarded as Shakespears in English novelists by the critic. He was skillful at appreciating the fife with tragic sight, curving the violent cinflict between two kinds of civilization and reality tribulation of the characters . He described the tragedy of a poor pretty girl Tess with epic words. The novel gave us an aesthetic experience of grandeur and loftiness. It also included the deep rationalism of the author and the social tragedy of logical conflict of human history.
