3月26日，由中国服装设计师协会主办，E-风尚网站和中国服装设计师协会职业时装模特委员会共同承办的中国首届模特网络大赛宣布全面启动。本次模特网络大赛的立意在于建设一个有效便捷的通道，让非专业模特和有潜质的人才能够有机会直接进入到这个铸造美丽的行业中来，同时将美的知识带进人们的日常生活。赛事将在网络上进行与呈现．独特的网络技术和大赛的专用模块将承载中国模特的首次网络大赛．对于美的标准也将由最广泛的大众评委来评判。大赛报名工作于2006年5月开始．11月进行总决赛．最终的获胜者将亮相11月的中国国际时装周。
On March 26, hosted by China fashion association, www.e-vogue.com.cn and China Professional Fashion Model Committee, the First Model Contest of the Internet has been completely launched. This contest aims to supply the opportunitity for non-professional models and potential talents, so as to directly enter this field, and bring beauty to the daily life. This contest will be run through the internet with special information technologies and modules exclusive to this contest. The public will be the judges to hold fair judgements towards beauty. Enrollment starts from May in 2006, and the final competition will be held in November of 2006. The final winner will declare her pose during China Fashion Week of November.
