May ist, the worker＇sday. The proletariat inChina has of course changed quite a bit in the pastdecades of reform and muchprogress has been made. Theremay still be lingering problems like work safety, unemploymentor pensions and health care, tomention just a few, but theseissues are being addressed onvarious levels by the national,provincial and local leadership.
