Review of the Studies on the Continuous Casting of Single Crystal Metals

单晶连铸技术是一项将定向凝固技术与连续铸造技术相结合的新技术,其特点是可以连续制造无限长的、表面呈镜面状态、内部无缩孔、缩松、气孔、夹杂等铸造缺陷的单晶型材,属于一种近成品形状(near-net-shape)生产技术。评述了单晶连铸技术的发展及现状。

The technique of continuous casting of single crystal metals is a new technique which combines unidirectional solidification and continuous casting. Its characteristic is continuous production of unlimited long single crystal shapes with mirror-like surface. The product has no internal defects such as porosities, shrinkages and impurities. This paper gives a review of the studies and develop-ments of this technique.
