The operating principle of generator leading phase is described. The advantages and disadvantages of leading phase operation are analyzed. The process, result analysis and practical application of the leading phase operation test of No. 2 generator excitation system in Xiahuayuan Power Plant are presented. The emphasis is placed on the analysis of test data and trouble shooting.
