中西绘画发展史,是其艺术传统不断嬗变的历史。"写实"与"写意"二因素好像绘画传统中的两极,并且一隐一显、一主一从,物极必反式的交替发展着。以上两种因素是中西绘画发展的推动因素。

The history of Sino-western painting is the one that art traditions change in succession. Realistically painting and abstractly painting seem to be the two poles of tradition painting. Dormantly and apparently hostly and subordinately, they are developing alternatively in the opposite direction when they become extreme. The two poles are promoting factors of the development of Sino- western painting.
