对当代中国民族关系的几点认识

A Few Points on the Contemporary Relationship of Chinese Nationalities

本文阐述了当代中国民族关系的发展进程，指出“平等、团结、互助、和谐”社会主义民族关系本质特征的新表述，与过去的提法相比，既是一脉相承的，又是与时俱进的，具有重要的理论意义和实践意义。分析了现阶段我国民族关系在总体和谐的情况下，也还存在一些不大和谐的因素。提出了新形势下进一步巩固和发展我国社会主义民族关系的若干对策。

This article expounds the developmental process of the contemporary relationship of Chinese nationalities, pointing out that the new description of the essence of socialist national relation ＂equality, unity, mutual aid and harmony＂, compared with the previous slogan, is both in direct line of succession and keeps abreast with the times, which produces important significance in theory and practice. On the analytic basis of the overall harmonious situation of the present national relationship and facing some inharmonious factors, the article advances certain countermoves against the further enhancement and consolidation of our socialist national relation in the new situation.
