西安平考

Research on Xianping

西安平是汉代设置在辽东郡的重要县级政权。治所长期以来被认为在今辽宁东部的丹东市附近,《汉书》的注释、《辞海》、《辽宁通史》、《中国历史地图集》等著述,均将鸭绿江口的汉代安平口误作西安平县。现考,汉代的西安平,置于今辽宁西部的阜新市彰武县西北部的四堡子乡小南洼一带。西安平县统辖的区域曾扩展至今内蒙赤峰,通辽的部分地区。王莽时期,改称北安平。辽朝在西安平故地建豪州。西安平是辽东郡在辽西地区的重要门户和北方游牧民族进入辽东的主要通道。
