摘要
对兰州市3所中学的300名学生英语学习动机类型的调查研究表明,中学生英语学习的7种动机类型分别是:内在兴趣动机、成绩动机、出国动机、学习情境动机、社会责任动机、个人发展动机和信息媒介动机。多元方差分析表明:学校类别和年级对学习动机有显著影响。此外,各种类型动机之间相互作用,关系复杂。
This paper was carried out to achieve a basic classification of, middle school students' English learning motivations. The subjects, obtained from a stratified sampling, were 300 middle school students both junior and senior from 3 middle schools in the city of Lanzhou. Factor analysis and ANOVA in SPSS12.0 were performed on the data. Seven factors resulted from the analysis are: 1) intrinsic interest; 2) achievement; 3) learning situation; 4) going abroad; 5)social responsibility; 6)individual development; 7)information medium, These factors heavily interact with each other. The type of schools and the grade of the students greatly influence these motivations.
