医院现代化与医院信息化是紧密联系的。文章提出信息流的概念,并指出医院中信息流的质量、速度、覆盖范围和运用效率是医院发展的基本要素。医院信息系统为医院各项工作提供系统性支撑、基础性支撑和服务性支撑,并且促使医院文化内涵发生改变。现代化医院加强信息基础建设要遵循以人为本原则、性价平衡原则和可持续发展原则,坚持培养专业化的信息人才队伍与提高全员信息科技素质并重。

Hospital modernization is closely related to hospital information systems. The paper presents the notion of information flow and argues that the quality, speed, coverage, and efficiency of information flow in a hospital are the basic elements of its development. Hospital information systems provide systematic, primary and service support for various activities in the hospital and bring about changes in the essence of hospital culture. In their efforts to strengthen their information infrastructure, modernized hospitals should observe the principles of people first, cost-effectiveness balance and sustainable development and lay equal stress on cultivating specialized information personnel and improving the level of the entire staff in manipulating information and science and technology.
