This thesis overall probes into different forms and characteristics that The Nineteen Ancient Poems quoted The Book of Songs, which thereby explains that the insertion of quoted signals implies the meanings aren＇t stated in The Nineteen Ancient Poems and enlarges the tension of text structure .It reveals the origins of The Book of Songs and the poem with five characters to each line and the sentimentism of The Nineteen Ancient Poems.
