摘要
习语是英语词汇的一个组成部分,对英美文化有传承、记载、反映的作用,在人们的生活中应用甚广。本文从习语的来源出处、原义、引申意义等角度来分析它对英美文化的反射。
Widely used in the daily life and as a component part of the English vocabulary, idioms serve the functions of inheriting, recording and showcasing the Anglo- American culture. This paper explores the idioms＇ relation with the title culture from the perspectives of etymology, original meaning and extended meaning.
