On the Methods and the Techniques of English Translation

翻译是把一种语言文字所表达的意义用另一种语言文字表达出来,具体说来,就是“换易言语使相解也”。在英汉两种语言之间进行转化时,既要考虑汉语表达时要忠实原文,又要着力在英文中体现合理的逻辑关系以便英文读者较容易接受。一些基本方法的运用,将有助于读者和学习者对英语的学习和理解。

Translation is to express the meaning of one kind of language with the other language, concretely speaking, that is explaining the same thing with different languages. When translating, we should not only think about how to accord with the original text, but also consider the proper logic relationship of English, so the readers can easily accept them. With these basic methods used, it will be helpful for the readers and English learners to understand and learn English well.
