Fundamentals of TP Monitors

介绍中间件、交易、交易处理监控器的特点和交易中间件的用途·目的在于通过描述交易中间件的一些技术细节,利于XA规格,来分析交易中间件的工作能力和说明他们在关键在线交易处理应用中的重要性·同时列举在该领域的知名产品·尽管交易中间件是成熟的技术并且在遗留系统中使用超过了20年,仍然可以看到他们正在许多在线交易处理领域大显身手,例如金融、保险、证券和航空行业·

In this paper, concepts of middleware, transactions, TP monitors and their characteristics and the uses of TP monitors are briefly introduced. The purpose of the paper is to analyze TP monitors＇ working abilities and to show their importance in critical OLTP applications by describing some detailed technical aspects of TP monitors, such as XA specification. I also listed the well - known products in the field. We should realize although TP monitors are matured technologies and have been used with legacy systems for about 20 years, we still could see their robust survival in OLTP, such as financial, insurance, stock and airline businesses.
