Supervision of public opinion as an indispensable weapon against corruption

一百多年前马克思、恩格斯就曾经论述过舆论监督的重要性和必要性。发达国家也为我们提供了可资借鉴的成功经验。因观念、体制、价值观、立法等方面的因素,我国的舆论监督虽呈加强趋势但远未到位。为了发挥舆论监督在反腐败中的应有作用,亟须加快政治体制改革和相关立法。

As early as more than one hundred years ago, Marx and Engels discussed the importance and necessity of supervision of public opinion. Some developed countries also provided us successful experience for reference. Due to reasons of standpoint, system, values and legislation, our supervision of public opinion is far from enough though it is in progress. In order to bring into full play the play the role of supervision of public opinion in fighting corruption, it is urgent to quicken the political reform and the relevant law making.
