在分析西安市目前城市交通现状的基础上,结合西安市古城特点,提出公共交通是提高道路利用率,最大限度地满足西安市居民交通出行需求,解决城市交通问题的一种行之有效的方法。因此,西安市公共交通优先发展是十分必要的。

Based on the characteristic of Xi＇an as an historic city, its current situation of urban traffic is discussed on how to raise the road utilization ratio, meet with the traffic demand for the residents. An approach to solving the its traffic problem is provided. Therefore, it is necessary to develop the public transit of Xi＇an city first.
