容量规划是无线网络规划中必不可少的内容,混合业务下的小区容量仍然是容量规划中的重点和难点。本文对WCDMA的容量特点和容量计算进行了探讨,着重介绍用于混合业务下容量预测的坎贝尔算法,并基于坎贝尔模型对坎贝尔算法进行了改进,结合下行容量的仿真对预测结果进行了模拟和校验,以便能对3G混合业务下的容量设计有所借鉴。

Capacity planning is an absolutely necessary part in radio network planning for WCDMA. In this paper, two cell capacity forecasting methods are introduced. One is the CampBell algorithm and the other is a developed algorithm based on CampBell model. They are useful for cell capacity forecasting under multi-traffic situation. Finally, we present experimental results for dowulink capacity simulation using these two algorithms.
