On Important Relation between Building a Clean Government and Building a Pace-setting Party

党风廉政建设与党的先进性建设目标一致,内容各有侧重,二者相互促进。加强党风廉政建设是我们党始终保持先进性的优良传统,是我们党始终保持先进性的内在要求,是实现小康社会目标的重要保证。中国共产党要坚持与时俱进,在制定和完善制度上体现先进性,在监督制约机制上体现先进性,在践行为人民服务的宗旨上体现先进性。

Building a clean government and building a pace-setting Party have the same purpose but different key points. Building a clean government is a fine tradition and internal requirement for the Party to keep pace-setting, and also the guarantee to realize comparatively well-off life. On the other hand, the Communist Party should show its pace-setting characteristics in drawing up rules, improving supervision, serving the people.
