论计算机科学的学科性质——对大学生计算机学科学习的要求 被引量:2

On Subject Nature of Computer Science——Requirements on Undergraduates Learning Computer Subject

摘要 作为一门大学的学科,计算机科学的性质还在被有关人员所争论。尽管学科很难去定义,很难说学科是严密的还是松散的或者是纯理论的还是应用的,但是根据学生可能需要学习的内容会得到一些启发。计算机科学家趋向于认为该学科是严密的学科,但在是应用学科还是纯理论学科上存在很大分歧。文章对计算机科学进行了分析,提出了一些不同的观点的理由,并指出大学生学习这门学科的要求。 As an academic subject,Computer Science is still in dispute tbr its nature.Although it appears difficult to define this subject as hard one rather than soft one,or pure one rather than applied one,some enlightenment can be procured as per what undergraduates may need to learn about their subject.Computer scientists tend to agree to that the subject should be defined as hard science,however,great disagreements still exist about this subject is pure science or applied science.In view of these facts,this paper analyzes and suggests some reasons for the difference of opinion and highlights the implications for what undergraduates might learn about this subject.
