多媒体会议系统综述

A Survey of Multimedia-Conferencing System

当今信息社会的发展对通信提出了更高的要求，要求不但能听到对方而且能看到对方。另一方面，由于经济的不断发展，人们的生活水平不断的提高也对通信的方式提出了更高的要求。多媒体技术在通信领域中的应用给通信的发展带来了新的生机。以综述形式介绍了作为多媒体通信主要手段之一的多媒体会议系统；介绍了多媒体会议的四种形式，即：群组电视会议、桌面电视会议、文件会议和电话会议；分析比较了各自的特点；阐述了会议系统目前的市场动态并对它们的发展进行了展望。

With the developoment of informati0n technology and the improvement 0f pe0ple'Slife, more and m0re requirements are risen in c0mmunication styIes. Not only required to listen to theothers but also to see the others. Multimedia brings new vitality to communication with its applica-tion. This paper is a survey about mulitmedia - conferencing system including: group videoconfer-encing system, desktop videoconferencing system, document -c0nferencing system and telephone-conferencing system. Comparison is given about these four conferencing systems. As a summary, theprospect of conferencing system is given.
