Daxiahe A Peaceful and Harmonious Village

16年来,大下河村一个声音喊到底,始终坚持法德并举,不断加强对村民的思想道德教育,出现了政通人和、安居乐业、文明富裕的社会主义新农村景象。

In the northwest area of Laicheng District, Laiwu City, Shandong Province, there is ahamlet called Daxiahe Village. In 2001, the experiences of administrating the village with both ethics and laws created by Xiahe were popularized in Shandong Province. Nowadays, while engaging in building up a new socialist countryside, Daxiahe has scored key achievements. In 2005, the average net income per capital of the entire village reached 5,000 yuan. For 16 consecutive years, no criminal cases have occurred in Daxiahe. Daxiahe, therefore, has become a provincial advanced village in terms of ideological progress famous far and wide.
