摘要
野柳位于中国台湾基隆西北方约15公里处,介于北海岸金山与万里之间,是一个狭长的海岬。其陆地部分53万平方米,海域部分404万平方米。野柳奇岩是世界奇观之一,波浪侵蚀、岩石风化及海陆相对运动、地壳运动等地质作用的影响导致了罕见的地形、地质景观,极具观赏教育与研究价值。
Yeliu is a narrow and long strait in Taiwan some 15 kilometers northwest of Keelung, and located between Jinshan and Wanli on the northern coast. Due to its special geological structure, the extension direction of the strata meets the coastline at a right angle. Therefore, after cons of erosion by powerful waves pushed up by the strong northeast monsoons, the soft rock strata have gradually been carved away, while the hard rock strata strongly resisting erosion remain, thus forming the strait.
