五代钱币考

The Coins in Five Dynasties

五代历时短促,但官铸不辍。从文献记载与考古发现来看,五代历朝均有本朝钱币铸行于世,其铸币政策也较为严谨:官铸都唯以铜钱,且大致质量精良,非如同时代之十国铅锡铁杂出。由于官铸铜币数量有限,五代市场实际流通中,除本朝钱币外,也有大量的唐代钱币与同时代的南北方私铸钱币。

Although the Five Dynasties was a short period in the history, the governmental coining was still kept. From the historical records and archeological discoveries, we could draw the conclusion that the Five Dynasties had their own coins, and their coining policies are rather prudent： all the governmental coins were copper coins, and of good quality, not as the ShiGuo dynasties. Because of the limited amount, there＇re a number of Tang coins and some illegal coins from north and south in that period in circulation, except the coins of its own government.
