From The Methodology To Chinese Practices: The Limitation Of Social Survey

二十多年以来,调查研究已经广泛地被国内学者所采用。然而,在调查研究方法不断完善和技术不断提高的同时,人们也开始对调查研究这样一种社会研究方式的局限性有所意识。本文试图从方法论和本土实践两个角度从发,探讨调查研究作为社会研究一种方式的局限性。探讨的目的并不是要否认调查研究作为一种社会研究方式的合理性与必要性,而是希望引起人们对社会研究这一学术活动本身的反思。

In the last twenty years,social survey has been used in many Chinese scholars＇ researches, and domestic social researchers＇ technical of social survey have been enhanced unceasingly. At the same time, more and more attentions have been concerned on the limitation of social survey which is one of the methods of social research. This paper attempts to discuss the limitation of social survey from aspects of methodology and domestic practices. The aim of the discussion is not to deny the rationality and the necessity of social survey, but to introspect and as well as to cause people to introspect the social research itself which is an academic activity.
