《孔子诗论》突出了个体主体性与人本主义立场。与《左传》的神秘主义解诗方式和《毛诗》文本意义的体外言说机制均有不同。三种解诗方式使得诗的仁德之旨具有三种不同的意义走向,是主体独特的生命感悟与历史语境结合的自觉选择,反映了在世者对“存在”意义的不同领悟。

Confucius＇ interpretation of On Poetry is much different from that of Zuo Zhuan and that of Mao Heng On Poetry. It makes a full perceptual recognition and humanist remarks On Poetry. Differently, Zuo Zhuan tends to start from subjective assumptions, whereas Mao Heng initiates the system of extra textual comments. These are the inevitable choices which relay on the subjective feelings of life and historical context, and reflect different understandings of ＂being＂.
