进口电池须备案

The import of Battery Should be Registered and Put on Records

日前，江苏张家港某中德合资企业进口的电池被张家港检验检验局责令退运。检验人员在检验该公司进口的叉车时，发现这些叉车是以电池作为动力来源。按照国家质检总局的规定，所有电池产品在进口前须向检验检疫机构申请备案，取得备案书后方可进口。而该合资企业的电池没有进口备案书。据此，张家港局做出了电池退运的决定。

A batch of battery imported by a Sino-Germany joint venture in the Zhangjiagang city of the Jiangshu Province was to be returned at the request of the Zhangjiagang Inspection and Quarantine Bureau. When inspecting forklift truck imported by the said company, inspection and quarantine staff found out that these forklift trucks were power-driven by battery. Required by General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the P. R. China, enterprises, before importing battery products, should file application for registration to inspection and quarantine organs. Only if they gain certificate of registration can they proceed the import. The Zhangjiagang Inspection and Quarantine Bureau ordered the said joint venture to return the battery product on account of failing to acquire registration certificate.
