文山州仡佬族文化初探

Research of Gelao's Culture in Wenshan

仡佬族曾是西南地区一个显赫的大族 ,在历经数千年的漫长岁月之后 ,已非常衰弱 ,其古老文化已大部分褪色。明末清初迁移到文山州的仡佬族 ,由于居住在交通不发达的山区 ,仍保留着若干仡佬族传统文化特征。作者深入文山州仡佬族所居住的各村寨 ,走访调查了青仡佬、红仡佬、白仡佬、花仡佬四个支系的仡佬族人 ,在此基础上 ,对文山州仡佬族文化在语言、住宅、服饰、婚姻、丧葬五个方面作了初步展现。

Gelao nationality was historically glorious and flourishing in Southwest China. After thousands of years, however, this nationality is now on the wane. Its culture has become inconspicuous either. In Wenshan, China, there lives a division of the Gelao since 400 - 500 years before. At present they still keep many historical remains of their national culture. In this study, we investigate four sub - divisions of the Wenshan Gelao via field survey in their villages. This paper discusses language, residence, dress and personal adornment, marriage system and funeral ceremony of the national culture of the Wenshan Gelao.
