谈“吗”和“呢”的用法

On the Usage of “吗”and“呢”

近几年来,人们借鉴现代语恒学的理论,着眼于语气范畴的整个表述系统,围绕着“吗”和“呢”发表了很多论文,提出了一系列富有创见的看法,但却没恒取得相对一致的认识。文章对“吗”和“呢”的用法进行归类划分,明确了它们的用法与疑问句性质的密切关系,认为“吗”和“呢”的用法看起来极为相似,却又具有不可替换性。

＂吗＂and＂呢＂are two of the words of interrogative mood which are more frequently used in modem Chinese language. In recent years, people, with reference to modem linguistic theories, have published many essays concerning ＂吗＂和 ＂呢＂. Focusing on the whole expressive system of mood range, they have put forward a series of creative ideas, but they failed to reach an agreement. This paper classified the usage of these two words and then clarified the close relation between their usage and the features of interrogative sentences. It was thought that ＂吗＂and＂呢＂ seem to be similar but can＇t be replaced by each other due to their complicated usage.
