《礼拜六》是民国初年市民文学期刊的代表作。它在五四前后两度出现、两度走红,并两度引起市民文学杂志中兴的潮流,前后出版两百期,影响中国文坛近十年。无论是考察民初文学的整体风貌,还是探究市民文学在五四前后的渐变轨迹,《礼拜六》都是无法越过的文本。对于这样一份重要杂志,学术界不应该忽视它的存在,或仅仅把它当作批判的靶子,而应该以客观公正的眼光对它作出具体、深入的研究。

Saturday was the representative work of periodicals of civil literature in early Minguo. It appeared twice and was very popular around May the Fourth Movement. Twice it aroused the reviving of civil literature for about ten years with 200 issues. Whether you study the style and features of civil literature as a whole in early Minguo or study the gradual change of civil literature around May the Fourth Movement, Saturday cannot be ignored in the academic Instead, we should study it specifically and deeply circles. We can＇t simply take it as a target of criticism. from the objective and fair point of view.
