Non-symptom HIV infectious stage is a golden breakthrough point for treatment of AIDS with traditional Chinese medicine

目的:分析目前艾滋病防治形势,探讨中医药治疗的优势和意义。方法:根据中医学“未病先防、既病防变”的“治未病”学术思想,从无症状HIV感染期入手,发挥中医药优势。对无症状HIV感染者进行辨证论治,延缓其发病进程。结果:①中医药治疗艾滋病从无症状HIV感染期入手,就是为了预防疾病的发展,提高患者机体免疫功能,延缓其向AIDS期进展,甚至使其长期处于无症状HIV感染期而不发病。②从中医学角度看,在无症状HIV感染期,患者虽未表现出艾滋病特有的临床症状和体征,但已经表现出不同的“证”,能够因人而宜地揭示出艾滋病发展过程中某一阶段病理变化的本质。③处于无症状期的HIV感染者最多,持续时间较长,这给了医务人员很大的治疗空间和时间。结论:实践证明无症状HIV感染期是中医药治疗艾滋病的黄金切入点。

AIM： To analyze the status quo of preventing and curing AIDS, and probe into the superiority and significance of therapy with traditional Chinese medicine. METHODS： According to the ＂prevention before onset and prevention from deterioration＂ in preventive treatment theory of traditional Chinese medicine, researches should start from non-symptom HIV infectious stage, and greatly exert the advantages of Chinese medicine. Differential treatment should be conducted on non-symptom HIV infected patients with the aim of slowing down the process of disease. RESULTS： ①Chinese medicine in the treatment of AIDS from non- symptom infectious stage is aimed at preventing the deterioration of disease, enhancing the immunity of patients and postponing the development towards AIDS and even maintaining the non-symptom infectious stage without onset.②From the perspective of Chinese medicine, despite specific clinical symptoms and functional indicators of AIDS did not represent in patients at non-symptom infectious stage, different syndromes could be seen, which could reveal the natures of pathological changes in individuals at certain stage of AIDS. ③Patients with HIV infection at the non-symptom stage are the most, and duration was much longer, which provides space and time for medical staffs to conduct treatment. CONCLUSION： It is proved in the practice that non-symptom HIV infectious stage is a golden point for treatment of AIDS with traditional Chinese medicine.
