A new genus and a new species of Mycomyiinae are herein describedas new to science.The type specimens are deposited in the insect Collectionsof Zhejiang Forestry College.Vecella gennov.Type species: Vecella guadunana sp. nov.Eyes rounded, slightly and indistinctly emarginated above antennal bases.Ocelli two, placed closed together, remote from eye margins.The ocellar prominence well developed. Antenna with 14 flagellomeres,apically pointed.Thesuture between the mesanepisternum and mesokatepisternum declining anteriorly.Laterotergite and mediotergite bare.Male middle coxa without spur.Tibia Iwith 1 spur,tibiae Ⅱ and Ⅲ with 2 spurs.Empodium absent.Wing withoutmacrotrichia on membrane and microtrichia not arranged in definite rows.Sc usually long.R4 absent.C extending beyond apex of R5. Male hypopygium broad.Innerpart of the sternal appendage with special structure.Distribution : Fujian Province,China.This new genus differs from Mycomya in the following characterists' ocellarprominence well developed,eyes only indistinctly emarginated above antennal ba ses,male middle coxa without spur,C extending beyond apex of R5,and R4 ab sent. It differs from Neoempheria in the antenna being apically pointed,wing withoutmarking, R4 absent,and without an false vein betWeen R5 and M1.Vecella guadunana sp. nov.(figs. 1-6)Male:head brown with palpus and mouthpart yellow,face and antennabrownish. Pronotum yellow.Mesoscutum dark brown,with anterior margin andlateral angle wide yellow strips,submedinal strips yellow.Scutellum brown,with4 long scutellars. Legs yellow to brownish.Coxa without special setae.CoxaⅡ without spur.Bt1: t1 =0. 78.Wing length 2. 67～3.17mm. C extendingslightly beyond apex of R_5, Sc ending C before base of Rs and Sc_2, ending at Rslightly before base of r-m. Apical part of Sc bearing 8～11 setulae.Macrotrichia:M petiole 0,M1+;M2+;Cu petiole +;Cu1+;Cu2+,Abdominal tergites brownish with yellowish color towards anterior margin and halfmedial line of tergites Ⅰto Ⅲ and Ⅴ to Ⅶ,and tergite Ⅳ yellowish.Sternitesyellow.The male hypopygium being shown as in figs. 3～6. Female:Unknown.Holotype♂,paratypes 3♂♂,Guadun,Wuyi Mountain,Fujian Province,Oct. 7,1991. ex Wu Hong.
