Ceratophyllus wui sp.nov.(figs. 1-9 )Diagnosis This new species is similar to Ceratophyllus styx riparius Jordan &Rothschild, 1920 and Ceratophyllus sinicus Jordan,1932 but may be differentiated from the latter two by the following characters: (1 ) movable process thickand short,its tip slightly higher than immovable process;(2) tergum Ⅷ of malewith wide and nearly dorsal margin, with 6-10 marginal or submarginal bristles,the spiculose area undeveloped and situated on the frontal margin;(3) male,ventral margin near the hasal part of manubrium with a small concave sinus,(4)hasal arm of sternum Ⅸ of male with a middle process on the frontal margin,theposterior ventral expension with 7-9 bristles;and (5)sternum Ⅶ of female witha shallow sinus on the upper posterior margin.Holotype male,allotype female and paratypes 21♂♂,21♀♀ collected fromthe nests of swiftlet,Collocalia brevirostria innominata in April 1992,holotypemale, allotype female and paratypes 8 ♂♂, 8♀♀are deposited in the Institute ofMicrobiology and Epidemiology, the rest are deposited in the institute of ParasiticDisease, Hubei Academy of Medical Science.The flea is named in honor of Prof.
