The classics of Chinese traditional sports culture are, studied in order to have a better understanding of traditional physical education against the background of Chinese culture and to find a proper way to modernize it instead of making it return to the original state. It is maintained that constant globalization of physical education en ＂tails the modernization of traditional Chinese sports culture, and studying the classics is a rewarding way to realize it.
