Taiwan's Teacher Education in the Early Days of Its Recovery

彻底清肃日本殖民教育的影响,这是1945年台湾重归中国版图后国民政府急待解决的大事。考诸光复初期(1945—1949)国民政府在台湾的各项教育举措,师范教育尤为当时改造之重点。国民政府以“去日本化”作指导,通过特殊时期大规模的教师征招、培训,在台湾建立起了以中国教育制度为基础的新的师范教育体系,为本国文化在台湾的传承、宏扬创造了条件。

After the return of Taiwan in 1945, an urgent task the Nationalist government had to tackle was to eliminate the influence left by the Japanese colonial education. Researchers hold that teacher education was of great significance among all the educational measures taken by the Nationalist government in Taiwan during 1945 to 1949. The Nationalist government took ＂eliminating Japanese culture＂ as its guiding principle, set up in Taiwan a new educational system based on China＇ s educational traditions, through wide enrollment and cultivation of teachers in local areas, thus laying a foundation for the passing down and devel- opment of Chinese culture in Taiwan.
