提高矿产资源保障能力是地质工作的根本。能源、非能源矿产勘查和矿山地质工作均属于矿产资源保障任务;基础地质调查是矿产资源保障和公益事业需要的基础任务;地质灾害和地质环境调查监测属于减灾和促进人与自然和谐,关乎中华民族健康生存发展的重要基础性任务,是全面建设小康社会的保障;促进地质资料开发利用属于实现资料共享,避免工作浪费重复的关键一环,是建设节约型社会的重要方面。

Strengthening guarantee capacity of mineral resources is basic task of geological work.Energy and non-energy mineral resource prospecting and mining geological work belong to the task of mineral resource guarantee;geological disaster and geological environmental monitor belong to the work of reducing disaster and promote harmonious co-existence between man and nature,it touches the health development of the Chinese nation and building a well-off society in an all-round way;development and use of geological data and promoting their sharing is a key link of avoiding unnecessary work repetition and building up a conservation-minded society.
