1992年3月调查住院的17名现症患者及102名治愈者的畸残率为94.1％。于1992年5月起,成立康复医疗小组,向上级提出畸残调查报告,同时开始培训工作人员,开展康复医疗。这项工作包括对所有现症及监测期原患者进行残疾基础记录,发现6名无痛性神经炎者,给予强的松治疗;对107名进行眼、手、足自我护理的培训;为有手足麻木及足底溃疡者配备了79付防护手套及573双防护鞋;对63名的118个足部溃疡施行综合防治,愈合率50.9％;为有严格手术指征的12名患者施行小腿截肢,为29名截肢者配备了 假肢;为12名兔眼患者的18只眼施行了改良颞肌束移位加筋膜条悬吊术,为2名垂足者行胫后肌移位,为3名白内障患者做囊内摘除,3名翼状 肉患者施行 肉移位;为全部患者开展心理保健。
Seventeen active cases and 102 persons cured of leprosy in all in Guangahou Taihe leprosy hospital were surveyed in March,1992 and showed that disability rate was 94. 1%.
