九品中正制名称的由来及其演变——兼与张旭华、阎步克两先生商榷

The Origin and Evolvement of the Nine-grade System——Discussion with Xuhua Zhang & Buke Yan

有关“九品中正制”的论争由来已久,诸位史家各陈其说、各尽所能,将对“九品中正制”的研究不断推向深入。但在根本问题的讨论上,诸位史家的意见其实并不矛盾。该文在综合诸家学说的基础上,结合自身的研究,提出了一个对“九品中正制”较为合理的解释。

The origin and evolvement of the Nine-grade System in ancient China＇s governmental system has always been in a constant contestation, in which many historians had a variety of ideas. They have tried their best to stick to their own views, pushing the research of the Nine-grade System to a further advancement. Based on the author＇s own research in this field as well as the general comprehension of so many different viewpoints, which were not essentially incompatible, a new opinion was brought forth in this paper to explain the origin and evolvement of the Nine-grade System.
