Based on Jane Austen＇s particular personal experience and social background, the paper analyzes Austen＇s masterpiece Pride and Prejudice , which embodies the author＇s value, and probes into female＇s social status in 19th England with the help of the portray of manners in daily lives as well as the theory of Freud＇s psycho-analysis.
