Overreach clutch is widely applied in machine tools and cranes because of its special structure and good feature. The machining process for the star wheel is rather complicated so that the rate of finished products is low. The paper discusses the new materials, heat treatment and processing method for manufacturing star wheel. This processing techniques can improve the rate of finished products greatly.
