3种接入认证技术的浅析与比较

Analysis and comparison of three types of authentication technique for access networks

接入认证技术支撑了宽带接入的发展。目前,应用最为广泛的认证技术有3种:以太网上传送PPP协议(PPPoE,PPP o-ver Ethernet)、W eb和802.1x。文章先给出了用户认证系统的基本模型,并基于此对这3种用户认证技术进行了分析与比较。从可扩展性上考虑,W eb认证技术的可扩展性是最好的。文章最后给出了作者的观点:W eb认证在将来会得到更好的发展。

The authentication technique of the access network has supported the growth of the broadband access networks. At the present, there are three types of the most widely used authentication techniques, i.e. PPPoE, Web and 802. 1x. In this paper, a primary model of the user authentication system is presented, on which basis the above authentication techniques are analyzed and compared. In consideration of extensibility, Web is the best and will have better chance of development.
