Politics' Vocation of Literature─Exemplified by Writers of Henan Origin like Yao Xueyin,Zhang Yigong

中原文坛上有一种特殊的文化景观:姚雪垠、张一弓的创作都遇到了政治对文学的召唤问题。为了不受政治的制约,姚雪垠创作的《李自成》向现代文化救援;张一弓创作的《犯人李铜钟的故事》向传统文化救援。他们都付出了沉重的代价,提供了极其深刻的经验与教训。

There is a unique cultural landscape in the literary world in the Central Plains： Yao Xueyin＇s and Zhang Yigong＇s creations have encountered politics＇ calling of literature. In order to avert political constraint, Yao Xueyin turned to modem culture for help while writing Li Zhicheng, and Zhang Yigong turned to traditional culture for help while writing A Story of Criminal Li Tongzhong. They paid a heavy price for that. They offered us a profound experience and lesson.
