From the point of the development of computer and its relative technologies, this paper analyzed the development course of the integrated automation system of substation, which can he divided into three generations. The structure, performance and characteristics for every generation＇s system were described. And combining the development and application of the technologies such as remote vision system, artificial intelligence, Bluetooth, etc. , the developing direction of the integrated automation system of substation was simply discussed.
