Post-Zionism emerges as a new ideological trend in Jewish society in the historical background of remarkable changes in world pattern and Mid-Eastern political situations in the post-Cold War era. Based on profound research done by Neo-historians on large number of archives and related historical materials, relating history of Zionism to the status quo in Israel, Post-Zionism brings forth a series of viewpoints regarding many aspects as Israel's state system and the way it intends to go. However, it has no integrated ideology, and its backers are mainly Jewish Lefts and those marginalized stratum in Jewish society. Hence, it is too weak to shake the dominance of traditional and ultra-Zionism in decision-making in current Israeli government. The values of post-Zionism lie in its potential influences on future political development in Israel.
