A Probe into the Nature in the Development of Marxism: the Dialectics between "Struggle" and "Harmony"

对马克思主义发展规律的认识,历来有强调“斗”即同各种错误东西作斗争的一面以及强调“和”即吸收各种合理东西的一面这两种观点。纵观马克思主义的发展历程,马克思主义发展的规律不但表现为“斗”,也表现为“和”,是“斗”与“和”的辩证运动。“斗”与“和”,作为矛盾的两个方面,贯穿于马克思主义的整个发展历程,虽有主次之分,却是缺一不可。

To understand Marxism, two emphases have been well known： one on ＂ Struggle＂, emphasizing the struggle against errors, and the other on ＂ Harmony＂, laying stress on absorption of different ideas and opinions. The two sides are difficult to compromise. However, the process of Marxist development suggests that the nature of its development is represented in the dialectical movement of both ＂ struggle＂ and ＂ harmony＂. They are an indispensable pair though there exists the difference of the primary and the secondary in different time.
